Rhacophorus pardalis occurs on Borneo within a wider Southeast Asian range. The webbing and skin fringes aid gliding between vegetation; they do not provide powered flight.

AMNH · Rhacophorus pardalisFoam above water
The regional researchers describe soft chuckling calls and foam nests over water. Tadpoles use standing water, including forest ponds and isolated pools. Brown camouflage conceals the back, while orange webbing and marked yellow flanks become visible when the animal moves.

Haas, Das, Hertwig and collaborators · Frogs of Borneo: pardalisA leaf cover for the eggs
At Danum Valley, researchers watched three females fold leaves around their foam egg masses after the males departed. Using front and hind limbs, each pressed a neighbouring leaf or folded the supporting leaf around the eggs. Construction took 45–70 minutes: the nest was actively shaped rather than merely deposited.
