Kuala Penyu to Pulau Tiga by arranged boat

Coordinate the park crossing with your island visit and return transport.

How the connection works

Sabah Parks identifies a mainland jetty at Kuala Penyu as a main departure point for Pulau Tiga. This is a boat arrangement to confirm with a tour, resort or park contact, rather than an assumed public ferry with frequent departures. Ask the organiser for the correct meeting point and whether a land transfer from Kota Kinabalu is part of the offer.

Before departure

Confirm the island entry arrangement, boat return and any meals or activities before setting out. A park visit involving forest trails or mud pools needs its own itinerary, while snorkelling depends on the operator and suitable conditions. Keep bags manageable and ask about weather-related changes. On return, allow time for the mainland road journey; a nominal crossing duration is not a guarantee of an exact onward connection.
