Sunday breakfast at Mamolo market

Mamolo’s Sunday market brings Nunukan’s coastal food into one early-morning visit. It is in Tanjung Harapan, Nunukan Selatan, rather than in the town centre.

Make Sunday part of the plan

The provincial market register lists Mamolo on Sunday mornings. Arrange your road journey and return before setting out; this is not a daily market that can simply be moved to another weekday. Ask locally about the current trading morning and arrive early rather than relying on a closing time as a guarantee of food.

Choose from the actual stalls

Original local reporting documents shellfish skewers, crab and grilled seafood alongside gogos and buras. Let the morning’s stalls determine your meal. Ask prices and ingredients before ordering; these are working traders serving local customers, not a fixed visitor tasting menu.

A respectful short visit

Carry small cash, leave sellers room to work and ask before close photographs. Mamolo is a local outing on Nunukan’s island, not an excuse to add a distant Sebatik crossing to the same morning. Leave time after breakfast for the drive back and your separate onward arrangements.
