A named river programme

Riam Parangek’s published offer centres on two hours of rafting on the Tanggi River in Pisak, Tujuhbelas, Bengkayang Regency. It is a specific guided activity with a briefing and equipment, rather than an invitation to enter the river independently. The community markets a family programme, but suitability still depends on the participants, equipment and conditions on the day.

Discuss your group’s ages, swimming confidence and previous rafting experience with the organiser. Ask the guide to explain the route and what participation involves before deciding. A family label does not replace that conversation, and no fixed difficulty grade should be assumed from promotional descriptions.

The river session

The published sequence starts with arrival, registration and a briefing before the rafting. Give the team time to fit helmets and life jackets properly and explain how to use the paddle. Listen to the instructions for staying together and responding if the guide changes the plan. The briefing is part of the experience, not time to be squeezed out to start sooner.

Let the river team judge whether the planned section is appropriate. Ask how the finish and return to the visitor area are organised, and what alternative is offered if the water prevents rafting. Keep valuables protected or leave them in an agreed secure place. Wear the clothing and footwear the guide recommends for the actual session.

Lunch and an optional night

The community package combines rafting with lunch and includes tent rental for those following its overnight outline. Entry, parking and rinsing facilities are also mentioned. Check the current written offer: the listing separates the included lunch from dinner and breakfast, which visitors must arrange additionally. Do not assume that camping means every meal and piece of sleeping equipment is supplied.

An overnight can make the visit less hurried, but choose it for the stay you want. Ask about the camping location, toilets, bedding, rain protection and storage. Any later swimming, walk or evening activity should follow the host’s guidance and conditions. Free time beside a river is not permission to enter it without checking.

Getting to the right starting point

Arrange the trip with the Pisak or Riam Parangek host and confirm the exact arrival point. Bengkayang is a useful planning gateway, but the road journey to Pisak is a separate stage with its own timing. Organise the return vehicle in advance and allow time to change into dry clothes after the river session.

Before paying, clarify the number of guides, equipment, meals, camping choice and arrangements if conditions change. Bring a change of clothes and a towel, and keep the site free of litter. The best visit is one in which the group understands the programme and can follow the guide comfortably, rather than feeling obliged to complete a route regardless of the river.
