Taman Tumbina Bintulu

Taman Tumbina brings botanical and zoological collections together on Bintulu’s coastal hills. Visit it as a managed garden and animal park, with time for the paths and the setting.

Plants and animals

The name joins parts of the Malay words for plants and animals. Opened in 1991, the park occupies hilly ground near Tanjung Batu. It offers a different pace from the market streets: use the visit to notice the planted landscape and the interpretation available, not only individual animal enclosures.

A managed collection

This is not a promise of seeing wildlife in its natural habitat. Animals on display and accessible areas can change. Follow the park’s rules, keep away from barriers and do not feed animals unless staff explicitly permit it. Read any information about species and their care on site.

Plan the visit

BDA reported activity at the park during its 2026 anniversary festival, but event coverage is not a daily opening guarantee. Confirm current opening arrangements before travelling. Wear shoes suitable for slopes and wet paths, carry water and leave flexibility for shelter. Tanjung Batu can be a separate nearby coastal stop afterwards.
