A local place for contemporary eating
D’Terrace is the landscaped terrace at Gaia Bumi Raya City on the Arteri Supadio corridor in Sungai Raya, Kubu Raya. It offers a different food setting from a small street-side stall: a mall visit combined with a pause beside planting and a water feature. This is a local culinary place rather than a traditional dish claimed to originate in Sungai Raya. The photograph shows the actual terrace in 2023; it does not advertise a particular meal or a currently running festival.
What the festival record tells us
The mall’s own reports document food events in the first-floor D’Terrace garden. Taste of Thai & Friends took place in July 2025, followed by Warisan Rasa Nusantara & Asia in August 2025. These programmes brought together food from different regions and countries. They show how the space is used for culinary gatherings, but those dates have passed. Do not expect the same stalls, menus or programme to be present during an ordinary visit.
Planning a food stop
Check the current mall directory and event announcements before making a special journey. Choose a restaurant or stall by its menu rather than treating every dish offered here as a West Kalimantan speciality. Ask about ingredients, cooking fat and halal information at the individual business; food events can include different dietary offerings. With a group, agree on a meeting point and compare menus before ordering. Keep the visit flexible if the open terrace is hot or rainy.
On the Sungai Raya side
Use the Gaia Bumi Raya City address when arranging a ride and confirm the pickup point for the return. The site is in Sungai Raya, not in Pontianak’s central heritage streets, even when wider-area listings use the Pontianak name. It can fit a stay along the Supadio corridor, but leave a separate travel and check-in allowance before a flight. A relaxed meal is a better plan than squeezing in an unverified event between transfers.
