Compare a conservation-centre visit with time in a forest habitat. They offer different contexts, travel arrangements and chances of observation.

How to choose

Read the individual guide before choosing: Sepilok and Semenggoh visits focus on conservation settings, while a Tanjung Puting journey includes river travel and a different overnight arrangement. A Danum forest programme is another kind of commitment. None of these experiences guarantees a sighting.

Keep your distance and follow staff or guide instructions. Do not feed, touch or call animals. Choose the whole journey, including transfers and time in the habitat, rather than a promised close-up photograph.
