Mulu Airport: arrival and onward planning

Plan flights, accommodation pickup and park activities separately when visiting Mulu. Arrival in the area does not include cave bookings or guided departures.

Check the actual flight

Mulu Marriott and local operator Majestic Leisure list AirBorneo services linking Mulu with Miri, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. Treat that as a route-planning starting point, not a promise of a seat or a daily connection. Check the airline’s current timetable, baggage allowance and booking conditions for your dates. A connection involving separate tickets needs its own delay margin.

Meet your accommodation

Choose your stay in the Mulu visitor area and ask that property where its pickup takes place. National park accommodation, village guesthouses and a resort are not the same reception point. Give the flight number to your host and keep its contact details offline. Do not assume every room reservation includes airport transport.

Avoid a tight cave connection

Reserve show-cave visits and specialist activities through the park’s current booking arrangements. Weather and delayed flights can affect the order of a short stay. Leave flexible time before a guided departure and avoid putting a demanding forest trip immediately before your flight out. Check trail and facility notices separately from flight availability.
